John Pederson
Graduate Student
John joined the Space Structures Lab in 2020. He received his M.S. in Aeronautics from Caltech in 2020 and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in 2019.
John’s research involves creating thermal models for the Space Solar Power Project. His previous research involved thermally modeling nuclear detonation detection satellite payloads at Los Alamos National Laboratory, as well as controlling robotic arms via augmented reality. In the past, he served as lead for the Columbia Space Initiative High-Altitude Balloons team.
